The mop is a fly fishing purists worst nightmare. While most flies imitate a batfish, nymph, or hatching bug… the mop is the complete opposite. The pattern imitates just about nothing. That said, it's a highly slept on fly that catches monsters. It's one of the easiest patterns to learn. It features a silver brass beadhead, dubbing, and mop puff. As it sits in the water the mop body has a tight wiggle that attracts curious fish.
