Pelican Reels was created with one goal in mind: to build an unbreakable reel at an unbeatable price. The Flight 2.0 Series (SG, LG and XLG) is the manifestation of that goal, and a re-imagination of our initial Flight Series that was launched in 2018.
The Flight 2.0 series are line rated, however, can handle larger lines thanks to their Wide Pocket backing channel. This is a reel that is built to be abused - and take it. Wether on the salt flats, big rivers of Alaska, or searching for a lunker in your hometown lakes and ponds, the Flight 2.0 is powerful enough to stop any beast in its tracks, and light enough to leave you with some reserve power for a few 12 oz curls when the day is done.
