Shang grew up in central California a stones throw away from the Yosemite valley. While he was in college, the Sacramento River and the California delta created a fly fishing mecca for striped bass, and he was hooked!
Serving in the military has given him the ability to fly fish all over the country. Attending the Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal, near the emerald waters of Destin, Florida, gave him the opportunity to specialize is saltwater fly fishing, constantly chasing finicky Reds and trout.
Soon he will be returning to California where he will spend most of my time focusing on striped bass once again.
